Inner Smile Meditation

This meditation done EVERYDAY creates PURE BLISS. The experiences that have followed for me and others who have tried it are:

* I'm giddy happy most of the time (when I actually do it- this post is a reminder to me)

* People are nicer to me

* I attract situations which make me laugh far more often

* I have more pleasurable interactions with people and the world I meet

* I feel genuinely joyful

* I don't get affected by other people's negative energy, it just falls off me

'Inner Smile' Meditation...

To be done in the morning for 15 minutes daily.

1) Set your alarm to 15min on your mobile/other choice device

2) Close your eyes. Sit with your back straight within a location where you will not be disturbed

3) Think of a trigger - an image - which makes you smile/ laugh (Something consistent, ie. not a person you know eg. your pets/something comedic)

4) Physically smile broadly - feel the smile to its fullest - as you think of this trigger

5) Stop thinking about that image and just feel the smile - focus on feeling without thinking for the entire 15 minutes until the alarm goes off.

2 things could happen:

*You drop the feeling (this includes fake smiling- it's the feeling not the appearance)

*You start thinking

If this happens, start again from 3)- keep repeating process if necessary for the entire time. The opportunity is to feel not think. This meditation opens up your heart chakra and moves you out of your mad head!

FEEL FEEL FEEL

Out of your head and into your body.

You are possibly going to feel like a fool for a while and find it difficult to sustain a no thoughts state for 15 minutes whilst smiling. Keep going because the more you practice the easier it will be (like physical exercise). Most importantly, this is NOT meant to be hard work! In the process, have heaps of fun feeling good above all else.

This is not a quick fix/result meditation (for some it will come easy straight away though), but each time you 'get on the treadmill' you are healing and expanding the most important part of you- your heart.

What you focus on expands. This meditation is about focusing on feeling good. Whether you're doing well or not from your perspective, this meditation will lift you even higher!

This is not something you MUST/NEED do. Nothing is. It is just a tool that in its simplicity has miraculous results, which you may like to open to experiencing.

Not happy Jan! (Bad Aussie joke)

If you are feeling down and or have feelings of anxiety/stress I highly recommend The natural stress relief technique, which is transcendental meditation repackaged to be cheaper. TM costs over a thousand dollars to learn. NSR which is the same thing cost me $25. I have provided a link on the right hand side column for those interested. NSR is incredible. The anxiety I had 4 years ago went in a week. If you're a beginner in meditation or simply interested in feeling peaceful and experiencing heightened creativity, I highly recommend you start there first.

Hope you enjoy!

Much Love,

Amy
